Total Lindsey Oil Refinery show their support for the Grimsby & Cleethorpes Sands
At the end of 2018, Total Lindsey Oil refinery participated to the Wave of Light Campaign, organised by the Grimsby & Cleethorpes Sands in North East Lincolnshire, marking up the Baby Loss Awareness Week.
“Wave of Light is an opportunity to join with bereaved parents, families and friends around the globe to commemorate all babies who sadly died too soon”
As part of Total’s Corporate Social Responsibility approach, the Lindsey Oil Refinery have put in place a Charity & Safety Award scheme. In 2018, we celebrate another year without any recordable incident, which brings the total to 5 years accident free for the day staff. As a result, every shift donates to charity when they achieve the 1 year milestone.
The Grimsby & Cleethorpes Sands is a charity close to Total’s heart and this is why the refinery participated in the “Wave of Light” initiative for SANDS. Infant loss can affect anyone around us so we want to show our support by lighting up the building in pink and blue, raising money and be present for our local community.
This week, the refinery also donated £1,000 to the charity as a result of their internal fundraising campaign.
