Castle Fraser welcomes green explorers
Primary school pupils from Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire took part in Going Green, a two-day environmental education programme supported by Total’s UK E&P division.
The programme run by the National Trust for Scotland is now in its seventh year and attracts over 400 children, all keen to take part in an exciting series of workshops. Ranging from learning about photosynthesis or the importance of bees, to minibeast masterclass or how to become an ‘Eco Inventor’, pupils get the chance to learn about the environment in a fun and hands-on way.
Sandra McLennan, Senior communication Adviser, said: “Total E&P UK is once again delighted to support the National Trust for Scotland as they host the popular environmental programme for schools – Going Green 2016. Encouraging children to learn about the environment and local history as they attend various workshops whilst in the beautiful surroundings of Castle Fraser will inspire them to think more about eco matters today and in the future.”
