Total UK enters into a 5 year contract with DHL for the provision of Bulk Logistics in its Lubricants Division
London, 01 April 2015 - As of 1st April 2015 Total UK enters into a 5 year contract with DHL for the provision of Bulk Logistics in its Lubricants Division.
Patrick Howley, Total UK - Lubricants Division, commented "This new partnership will enable the Lubricants business to take advantage of the latest technology in the market with the objective of providing continually improving services to our customers. The ultimate focus will be on providing a safe and environmentally efficient service to our customers."
The fundamental areas for continuous improvement will be:
- Asset and Fleet enhancement
- Delivery lead time reduction
- Implementation of an integrated driver in-cab IT system
- Delivery profile and mode review to ensure the delivery regime is optimised for all Total customers
Stuart Carlyon, DHL Supply Chain, said “DHL are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Total in the joint development of their bulk lubricants supply chain in the UK. Over the coming weeks DHL will be working with Total to ensure that the transition from the existing incumbent is seamless. First and foremost our focus will be to ensure that our class leading Health and Safety standards are replicated across this contract. Our absolute priority is to enhance the overall customer experience for both Total and all of their clients, to support and augment Total’s aspirations in the UK”.
